Percocet 2.5/325mg is a combination of 2.5 mg Acetaminophen and 325 mg Hydrocodone. It is a potent analgesic that is used to treat moderate to severe pain in adults.
Percocet 2.5/325mg is an oral medicine and available on prescription only. Using it without a prescription is illegal due to its substance abuse or addiction. Percocet 2.5/325 mg is a Pink oral Elliptical / Oval tablet. Imprint as “PERCOCET” on the front and “2.5” on the other side.
Percocet comes in a Schedule II drug under the Controlled Substance Act (CSA). Typical uses of Percocet include:
- pain
- back pain
- nerve pain (neuralgia)
- fibromyalgia
- breakthrough pain
- migraine headaches
Important Information
Although, a patient should not use this medication if he recently used alcohol, tranquilizers, sedatives, or other narcotic medicine. Also, do not use the therapy if you recently have taken MAO inhibitors such as rasagiline, selegiline, tranylcypromine, linezolid, phenelzine, or isocarboxazid. Or, if used methylene blue injection.
Dosage
Percocet 2.5/325 mg is the lowest dosage and mainly prescribed at the starting of the medication. It is advised to start the drug with a lower effective dosage to avoid its addiction and side effects.
Percocet 2.5/375 mg: 1 or 2 tablets every 6 hours or as prescribed.
The maximum daily dosage of Percocet should not be more than 4 grams.
Note: Do not take the larger dosage at the beginning of the medication. Consult the doctor before starting the medication.
