What is Percocet?
Percocet 7.5/500mg is a prescription narcotic opioid that treats moderate to severe pain in adults.
It is a combination of medicines that include acetaminophen and oxycodone. However, the medicine oxycodone is sometimes called narcotic, whereas acetaminophen is non-narcotic. Besides, acetaminophen is a less potent pain killer that increases the effects of oxycodone.
Also, it is a habit-forming or addictive medication; due to prevent addiction or abuse, it is only prescribed when another non-opioid pain medication has not provided adequate pain relief.
Additionally, it belongs to the narcotic analgesic combinations drug class. Therefore, it is classified as a Schedule II controlled substance under the (CSA) Controlled Substance Act. It is illegal to buy acetaminophen/oxycodone without a prescription.
Percocet 7.5/500 mg is orange, oval/elliptical, and can be identified as its imprint PERCOCET 7.5. Generally, it is supplied by (EPI) Endo Pharmaceuticals Inc.
